Pietrangelo ranks 5th all-time in games played by Blues defenseman

By playing in his 599th career game on Tuesday night in Minnesota, Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo passed Chris Pronger (598) for fifth on the Blues' all-time games played list among defensemen.

Pietrangelo is expected to play in his 600th career game Wednesday when the Blues host the Detroit Red Wings at Scottrade Center (7 p.m., NBCSN, KMOX).
After Wednesday, the 28-year-old defenseman will sit just 13 games behind Al MacInnis (613) for fourth.
Through 599 games, Pietrangelo has recored 75 goals, 266 assists (341 points) and a plus-62 rating.
