ST. LOUIS - The arena was packed, the crowd was pumped, the rally towels were waving and the wristbands were all lit up before Game 3 on Sunday, but the Blues came out somewhat flat in their first home playoff game of the year.
David Perron and Vladimir Tarasenko scored power-play goals and Alexander Steen scored his first of the playoffs, but the Winnipeg Jets pulled away to secure a 6-3 victory in Game 3 and cut the Blues' lead in the best-of-seven series to 2-1.
After the loss, everyone interviewed in the Blues locker room said the same thing:
"That's not our game tonight," said Blues Head Coach Craig Berube.
"Today was not really our team," added Perron. "We're not happy with our effort, we didn't play a good game. But we've got to give them credit. They played a good game and we didn't respond enough."
"We didn't play our game tonight," Tarasenko said. "It's not an excuse, but we need to find a way to play different (for Game 4). It's on us and we'll handle it."
