Nick Leddy will make his debut with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night when the club meets the Washington Capitals at Capital One Arena (6 p.m. CT, BSMW, 101 ESPN).
Leddy arrived in Washington, D.C. around 8 p.m. ET on Monday night,
just six hours after he was traded to the Blues
in exchange for Oskar Sundqvist, Jake Walman and a second-round draft pick.

Leddy, 31, is a 12-year NHL veteran that has played for the Chicago Blackhawks, New York Islanders and Detroit Red Wings. His career has spanned 831 career regular-season games and includes a Stanley Cup championship, which he won in 2013 with Brandon Saad and the Chicago Blackhawks.
"Great pick up, a guy who has been around, has a lot of experience and playoff games," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said of Leddy. "Lots of experience, a defenseman who can skate and play the puck."
Leddy was skating on a defense pairing with Colton Parayko in Tuesday's morning skate, and that's where he will start when the puck drops Tuesday.

Leddy arrives at team hotel in Washington D.C.

"I'm looking forward to starting off good tonight," Leddy said after the morning skate. "And I know we'll probably be talking more than (Colton) might like to tonight, just trying to get to know each other."
Vladimir Tarasenko did not make the trip and will miss his second consecutive game due to an illness. Robert Thomas will also be out while dealing with an upper-body injury.
As a result, the team will be forced to play 11 forwards and seven defensemen against the Capitals. Nathan Walker, who was recalled under emergency conditions Tuesday, is expected to play on the third line.
Below is a projected lineup based on Tuesday's morning skate.
