LAS VEGAS - Scottie Upshall will return to the lineup Friday against the Golden Knights (9:30 p.m., FSMW, FSGO, KMOX) after missing 10 games with an MCL sprain.
"It's exciting. I'm ready," Upshall said after Friday's practice. "I've been skating and working hard to get back for the last couple of weeks. No better place to do it than Vegas, against a team that's been good with a big weekend ahead for us."

"He was ready last game," Blues Head Coach Mike Yeo said of Upshall. "We didn't want to change lines. We didn't feel that anybody deserved to come out (against San Jose), but I think it's important we get him in. We've got a busy stretch here and I think it's important we use our depth here."
Upshall's return to the fourth line means Tage Thompson sit out tonight, but Yeo said Thompson could return Saturday vs. Arizona. Upshall's return also means a promotion for Ivan Barbashev, who is expected to move up to the third line with Dmitrij Jaskin and Vladimir Sobotka. Barbashev got some ice time on that line in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win in San Jose.

"Barbie moving up there against a deep team, with his defensive game and his competitiveness and just the way they played in the third period (Tuesday), they looked like they had some really good chemistry together," Yeo said.
Here is the projected lineup for Friday's game against the Golden Knights:
