SAN JOSE - Jaden Schwartz (upper-body), Alexander Steen (upper-body), Pat Maroon (upper-body) and Carl Gunnarsson (upper-body) won't play Saturday when the Blues complete the second game of a back-to-back set in San Jose (9:30 p.m. CT, FSMW, KMOX).
All four players were injured over the course of the team's current three-game road trip. Schwartz and Gunnarsson sustained injuries in Friday's 4-1 win against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The Blues have enough players on the trip that recalling a player from the San Antonio Rampage wasn't necessary. With the injuries, Nikita Soshnikov and Jordan Schmaltz will enter the lineup on Saturday.
"(Our depth) is being tested," Blues Head Coach Mike Yeo said. "It was tested within the game last game, obviously we had to shorten the bench playing the game with five defensemen and losing 'Schwartzy.' Guys stepped up, they seemed to be excited about the opporutnity for extra ice time. Back-to-back games is going to be a little bit more of a challenge here, but we've got some young legs in the lineup. It's an opporutnity for guys to prove they belong at this level or in the role we're giving them an opportunity to play tonight."
Chad Johnson will start in goal after earning a 38-save shutout against the Sharks last Friday at Enterprise Center.
