The St. Louis Blues look to extend its win streak to three straight as they host the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night (7 p.m., FanDuel Sports Network, 101 ESPN, Blues App) to close out the first homestand of the 2024-25 season.
Following up on big wins over the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday and Saturday, Head Coach Drew Bannister will opt to keep Tuesday’s lineup looking largely the same.
One change though is forward Alexandre Texier will re-draw in on the fourth line for Nathan Walker after missing five games with an upper-body injury.
"I think we want to kind of ease him [Texier] in early on, he's been out for a little bit with that injury, but previous to that I thought he had an outstanding training camp," Bannister said. "He can play in a lot of different roles in a lot of different situations."
The only other change expected to tonight’s lineup is Jordan Binnington in goal in place of Joel Hofer, who played two straight in net for the Blues after earning a shutout and assist in Thursday’s overtime win against New York.
"Tonight for us, obviously being a divisional game it's important," Bannister said of the undefeated Jets. "They've played good hockey, and we've got to continue to build our game and it's going to be a good test for us here tonight against them."
