Jake Neighbours will get his first game off on Saturday when the St. Louis Blues host the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 p.m. at Enterprise Center (7 p.m., BSMW, 101 ESPN).
The 19-year-old rookie, who was a first-round pick of the Blues in 2020, has played all six games this season and has recorded a goal and an assist. He can play a maximum of nine NHL games before the Blues have to make a decision on whether to keep him in the NHL or send him back to juniors.

"A lot of times with a young guy, the game is really speeding up now, it's good to watch a game and get a reset button a little bit. That's all it is for Jake," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said. "It's been a tough couple games the way the games have gone. I've shortened the bench early in games and he hasn't gotten the opportunity.
"I talked to him last night. A young kid like that, I want to make sure he's not getting too down on himself. We don't need that," he added. "He's done a tremendous job and sometimes you take a game, you watch and coaches talk to you about certain things to watch for, players to watch, things like that."
Kyle Clifford is expected to enter the lineup in place of Neighbours.
In addition, Berube is making one change on defense, swapping Niko Mikkola in for Robert Bortuzzo on the third pairing. Mikkola will be playing in his first game of the season on Saturday.

Berube, Bozak ahead of matchup vs. CHI

"(Mikkola) has been out, and obviously hasn't played," Berube said. "We've been planning on playing him. We need to get everybody in.
Below is a projected lineup for Saturday's matchup based on the morning skate at Enterprise Center.
