Brayden Schenn left Thursday's 5-3 win against the San Jose Sharks with an upper-body injury.

Schenn took nine shifts in the first period, recording 7 minutes and 42 seconds of ice time. He did not join the team for the start of the second period and did not return to the game.
On Friday afternoon, the Blues announced that Schenn had returned to St. Louis to undergo further evaluation of the injury.
"He got injured a couple of games ago against Chicago," Blues General Manager Doug Armstrong said. "He came back and tried to play, and the injury got aggravated (Wednesday), so we decide to fly him home. He's going to see our doctors over the next couple of days and we'll re-evaluate everything and have an update when the team returns from the road trip."
Through nine games this season, Schenn has three goals and three assists (six points).
