As the St. Louis Blues begin a road trip on Thursday night in Chicago (7:30 p.m., BSMWX, 101ESPN), they will be without two players due to injuries.
Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich did not travel with the team due to upper-body injuries, and neither of them will be available to play against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said Thomas could join the team for Saturday's game in Nashville, but that was the only insight he provided in his meeting with the media.

Without two centers, Berube said he will try Kasperi Kapanen in the middle in Thursday's game.
"It's new for him, but we'll see how he does," Berube said. "He hasn't (really played center in the NHL)… he's got good hands, he's pretty solid defensively, I feel like he's the best guy to do the job."
Since being claimed off waivers by the Blues in February, Kapanen has contributed seven goals in 15 games, matching the seven goals he scored in 43 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins this season.
Berube also said Calle Rosen will slide into the defense pairings in place of Robert Bortuzzo.
The Blues held an optional morning skate on Thursday in Chicago, but below is a projected lineup based on Wednesday's team practice at Centene Community Ice Center.
