Matthew Highmore is expected to make his Blues debut. The 26-year-old forward played three years for Chicago and another two for Vancouver, with a career 12 goals and 15 assists through 137 games played. Since joining the Blues organization, Highmore has 12 goals and 34 assists as a member of the Springfield Thunderbirds.
"He's a hard worker," Berube said. "He's a straight-line player, can kill penalties and will give you the effort you need."
Nikita Alexandrov is slated to join the lineup with Highmore. The rookie is in his first year with the club and has five points in 18 career NHL games.
Forward Pavel Buchnevich is out for Sunday's game with a lower-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. Defenseman Torey Krug will play in today's game.
"We've played short-handed, and we've beaten some really good teams like that," Robert Thomas said. "We're still really confident in this group."
Berube confirmed that Thomas Greiss will start in net. His last appearance was Jan. 26 against the Arizona Coyotes.
