ST. LOUIS - Alexander Steen hasn't played a game since sustaining a high-ankle sprain in a 5-2 win on Nov. 6 in Edmonton.
That changes Saturday.

Steen, who has missed 16 games with the injury, will return to the lineup when the St. Louis Blues host the Chicago Blackhawks at Enterprise Center (7 p.m., FSMW, 101 ESPN).
"The last week to 10 days was a little bit more frustrating than the start," Steen said about the wait to return. "I think I was getting really close and couldn't get over that last thing. I feel good and ready to go tonight. I'm excited."

Alexander Steen speaks to the media about returning

"He sounds like he's ready, so we've got him a spot," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said. "He plays the right way, effort-based, works extremely hard out there, he does all the right things at both ends of the ice and kills penalties. It's good to have him back."
Through 17 games this season, Steen has posted five assists and a plus-5 rating.
"Tonight, a rivalry against Chicago on a Saturday night, it should be a fun atmosphere in the building and a fun one for me to get back into," Steen said.
