For the first time in more than eight months, Oskar Sundqvist will be back on the ice for the St. Louis Blues when they host the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday night at Enterprise Center (7 p.m., BSMW, 101 ESPN).

Sundqvist has been out of the lineup since suffering a torn ACL in his left knee following a collision with teammate Kyle Clifford on March 19, 2021 - a 2-1 shootout win against the San Jose Sharks.
"He's an all-around player for us, lots of different situations and penalty kill and power play, checking, energy and really our team feeds off him," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said at the time of the injury. "It's a tough loss, for sure. We're going to miss him… it's unfortunate. It's tough news for Sunny and us, obviously."
The injury required surgery, which kept Sundqvist in St. Louis for much of the offseason as he rehabilitated the injury. The 27-year-old began light skating around the same time the team opened training camp prior to the start of the season.
Sundqvist was on the ice in non-contact drills during the team bonding trip in Vail, Colorado, and more recently, he's been participating in the team's line rushes in practice.
Prior to the injury last season, Sundqvist had contributed four goals and five assists (nine points) in 28 games last season.
In 229 career regular season games between the Blues and the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Boden, Sweden native has posted 32 goals and 40 assists (72 points).
