Jim Roberts, a versatile player who joined the St. Louis Blues during their inaugural season in 1967-68, played 15 NHL seasons as both a right wing and defenseman, splitting his career between the Blues and Montreal Canadiens. A five-time Stanley Cup champion with Montreal, Roberts also served as an NHL head coach and spent six seasons as an associate and assistant coach for the Blues.
