One of the game's legendary coaches, Scotty Bowman led his teams to a record nine Stanley Cup Championships from behind the bench. His career is nearly unmatched, contributing to 14 Stanley Cup Championships as a coach and front office executive. Many see Bowman as the single greatest coach in League history.

But where did it all begin? With the St. Louis Blues, as one of the first head coaches in franchise history.

  • Took over head coaching role during the Blues' inaugural 1967-68 season
  • Expanded role to General Manager duties following the 1967-68 season
  • Coached in St. Louis through the 1970-71 season
  • Storied coaching career continued in Montreal, Buffalo, Pittsburgh and Detroit
