Game Day: Preds vs. Golden Knights Preview

The Nashville Predators (38-30-8) will host the Vegas Golden Knights (48-22-7) on Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena.
The Preds will celebrate their eighth annual Pride Night during Tuesday's game. The night will feature LGBTQ+ community members in-game throughout the night, including the Mayor of Smashville, Fan Captain, Rally Towel Waver and Zamboni riders. Player-signed Pride jerseys and mystery pucks will be auctioned off along with autographed guitars from the Love Rising benefit concert. Last Time Out

Nashville moved to 19-16-4 on the road in 2022-23 with Monday's loss to Dallas. The Predators closed out their four-game, regular-season series against the Stars with a 0-4-0 record.
Cal Foote scored his first goal as a member of the Predators, and Kiefer Sherwood led Nashville with six hits.

All-Time Meetings

The Predators are 5-6-3 all-time against the Golden Knights, including a 2-3-2 record at Bridgestone Arena. This is the third and final matchup between Nashville and Vegas in 2022-23 and the second of two at home.
Nashville is 0-1-1 against Vegas this season. Nashville earned a point in a 5-4 overtime loss on New Year's Eve at Vegas thanks to Filip Forsberg's eighth career hat trick. The Predators dropped the most recent meeting, 5-1, on Feb. 7.

• Juuse Saros is 4-4-1 with a .923 save percentage and one shutout vs. Vegas in his career. Saros made a then career-high 47 saves in Nashville's 2-1 victory at Vegas on Jan. 23, 2019. He also recorded a 43-save shutout against Vegas on Jan. 16, 2018, becoming the first Predators goaltender to record multiple 40-plus save shutouts in the same season.
• Roman Josi has nine points (9a) in 14 career games against Vegas.
• Mark Jankowski has four goals in 12 career meetings with the Golden Knights.
• Jeremy Lauzon scored his first career NHL goal on Nov. 11, 2018 vs. Vegas (Malcolm Subban).
• Cody Glass was selected by Vegas in the first round (sixth overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft; he was the Golden Knights' first-ever draft pick. He played in 66 games for Vegas from 2019-21, tallying 22 points (9g-13a). Glass was acquired by Nashville from Vegas for forward Nolan Patrick on July 17, 2021.

• Saros is 27-16-6 with a 2.63 goals-against average and .921 save percentage in his last 49 games dating back to Nov. 12. His 27 wins in that time frame are tied for the sixth-most in the NHL; he is tied for third in save percentage since Nov. 12 (among goalies with at least 30 GP). Saros earned his 30th win of 2022-23 (30-21-7) on Saturday vs. St. Louis to become the third goaltender in Predators history to record consecutive 30-win seasons, joining Pekka Rinne and Tomas Vokoun.
• Luke Evangelista has 38 points (15g-23a) in 44 games with Nashville since being recalled from Milwaukee (AHL) on Dec. 19. He tallied a career-high four points (1g-3a) on Saturday vs. St. Louis. In a 23-game span since Feb. 18, Novak has posted 27 points (11g-16a) - tied for the 13th-most among NHL skaters - including seven multi-point efforts.
• Since making his season debut on Feb. 13 vs. Arizona, Philip Tomasino has recorded 17 points (5g-12a) in 25 games. He has 11 points (3g-8a) in his last 13 games after scoring on Saturday vs. St. Louis.
• Glass owns 28 points (12g-16a) in his last 50 games. He's found the scoresheet in 17 of his last 35 games (9g-11a) and has three goals in his last five games. Glass has established career highs in goals (13), assists (18) and points (31) this season.
• Novak has 34 points (14g-20a) in 43 games with Nashville since being recalled from Milwaukee (AHL) on Dec. 19. In a 22-game span since Feb. 18, Novak has posted 23 points (10g-13a) - tied for the 19th-most among NHL skaters - including six multi-point efforts.
• Tyson Barrie posted a four-game point streak (2g-4a) from March 21-26. Since being acquired from Edmonton on Feb. 28, the defenseman has recorded 10 points (3g-7a) in 18 games.
• Sherwood has points in seven of his last 17 games (3g-5a).
• Colton Sissons scored on Saturday vs. St. Louis to give him 15 points (6g-9a) in his last 35 outings. Sitting at 28 points (12g-16a), he is two from matching his career high of 30, set in 2018-19 (15g-15a).

The Other Guys

The Golden Knights are in first place in the Western Conference with 103 points. They are 3-1-1 in their last five games after a shootout victory over the Minnesota Wild on Monday. Pavel Dorofeyev had the first two-goal game of his career, plus a goal in the shootout, while Reilly Smith won it for Vegas in the shootout in his return to the lineup.
Jack Eichel leads the Golden Knights in points with 63 (27g-36a), and his 27 goals are also a team high. He has eight points (1g-7a) in his last five games. Jonathan Marchesseault has nine points (5g-4a) in his last 10 games.
