MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced that forward Andrew Shaw underwent surgery earlier on Wednesday on his left knee. His recovery period is expected to be a minimum of six months.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Daniel Whelan in Toronto. Shaw suffered a left knee injury, as well as a concussion, on March 13 against Dallas. Shaw and the Club agreed to proceed with the surgery once his concussion was fully resolved. In 51 games this season, the 26-year-old recorded 20 points (10G, 10A) and 53 penalty minutes.
