Here's to hoping he can bring some of that weather home to Montreal.
TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE Suzuki's team-leading 40 points in 51 games (16G-24A) earned him his second consecutive All-Star nod after taking part in the mid-season event last season in Las Vegas.
FOLLOW THE LEADER Where one goes, the other follows: the 23-year-old saved some room in his luggage for his friend, teammate and linemate Cole Caufield, who underwent season-ending shoulder surgery this week.
BEHIND THE MIC Suzuki addressed the media in Florida to wrap up day one. "I think I'm just improving every year, more on the mental side, just sticking with it. I think I've been able to help the younger guys out more this time around and, yeah, being more of a veteran and leader, especially with the 'C,' I just want to do a good job," said Suzuki, on his season so far.

February 3: Skills Competition FUN IN THE SUN Suzuki's skillset will be on full display at the Skills Competition on Friday night starting at 7:00 p.m. The fourth-year centerman is scheduled to take part in the 'Pitch 'n Puck' event, one of the three new Florida-themed competitions introduced this year. Clayton Keller (Arizona Coyotes), Johnny Gaudreau (Columbus Blue Jackets) and Jason Robertson (Dallas Stars) are also slated to compete in the Pitch 'n Puck' challenge.
FAMILY VACATION Nick's parents, Rob and Amanda, made the trip to South Florida to cheer on their son for, what he says, "feels like a vacation" with "some media and hockey stuff to do." The only Suzuki missing this weekend is Nick's younger brother Ryan, who is currently enjoying success of his own with the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League. The AHL's All-Star Weekend will take place February 5 and 6 in Laval. Anthony Richard and Alex Belzile will represent the Rocket in front of the home crowd.
What we do know, is that when they team up, they both win. Every time.

ONCE A HAB, ALWAYS A HAB P.K. Subban knows all about being a star in Montreal. The former Hab, who was honored pregame on January 12, is a three-time All-Star and represented the Canadiens at the event in 2016.
FORE! Nick Suzuki won the inaugural Puck 'n Pitch event with a birdie on the par-4 hole at the Plantation Preserve Golf Course and Club. Along with bragging rights, Suzuki wins a year of free Chipotle. Any takers?

Spotted against the glass with a No. 14 sweater and a homemade sign for the Habs captain, Suzuki returned to the bench to collect an extra jersey and tossed the autographed gift over the boards to its new owner.

Safe to say this one's not going in the wash. HOME-ICE ADVANTAGE Suzuki ended his weekend in South Florida with a pair of goals and an All-Star Game win with the Atlantic Division in Saturday's main event. The Eastern Conference hosts bested their Metropolitan Division rivals 10-6 in the second All-Star semifinal before topping the Central Division 7-5 in the Final. The second-year All-Star scored his first- and second-career goals at the midseason event against the Metropolitan Division, with assists from some unlikely faces.
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner and Suzuki went back and forth for an incredible play to make it 4-3 before another oftentimes opponent, Boston Bruins winger David Pastrnak, set up the 23-year-old for the eventual game-winner.
During Saturday's game, the NHL announced that the 2024 edition of the annual event will be held in Toronto. To view the full photo gallery of our captain's weekend in Florida, click here .
