MONTREAL - Brandon Davidson was claimed off waivers by the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday.
The 26-year-old defenseman played 13 games with the Canadiens this season, collecting one assist and posting a minus-3 differential. He was a healthy scratch for the last five games.
Acquired from the Oilers on February 28, 2017 in exchange for David Desharnais, Davidson suited up for 10 games with the Canadiens during the 2016-17 campaign, amassing two points and taking part in three playoff games last spring.
