MONTREAL - The Canadiens signed free-agent forward Tyler Toffoli to a four-year contract on Monday. Here's a look at his career by the numbers.

5 - In his first full season in the NHL in 2013-14, Toffoli tied for first among rookies with five game-winning goals. He put up 12 goals for 29 points in 62 games that season, which ranked him 12th in rookie scoring, and he also finished fourth among first-year players with a plus-21 differential.
14 - Toffoli owns a Stanley Cup ring from his rookie season with Los Angeles. The Scarborough, ON native set a new Kings record for rookie playoff scoring with 14 points (7G, 7A) in 26 games, which also led all first-year players that postseason. Two of his goals in those playoffs were game-winners.

25 - The following season, Toffoli led the Kings with a plus-25 differential. He set a team record by scoring four shorthanded goals in his first 18 games, and went on to lead the NHL with five such goals on the season. He scored 23 goals for 49 points in 2014-15, good for third on the team.
31 - Toffoli's career season so far would come in 2015-16, when he netted 31 goals and 58 points in 82 games, and once again led LA with a plus-35 differential. Including that 31-goal season, the 6-foot, 197-pound winger has hit the 20-goal mark four times in his eight-year career. Toffoli has 145 goals and 155 assists for 300 points in 525 career games with the Kings and Vancouver Canucks. In 54 playoff games, Toffoli has 11 goals for 25 points.

3 - Toffoli, the Kings' second-round pick (47th overall) in 2010, became the first player in NHL history to score a hat trick in an outdoor game in LA's 3-1 win over the Colorado Avalanche back on February 15.
