BROSSARD - The Canadiens acquired left-winger Nicolas Deslauriers from the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday.
The Sabres received defenseman Zach Redmond in return, who was sent to the AHL's Laval Rocket on September 23. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing in at 215 pounds, Deslauriers will report to Laval. The 26-year-old LaSalle native has amassed 30 points - including 12 goals - in 211 career NHL games since debuting in 2013-14.
