MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Friday that the team has agreed to terms on a two-year, entry-level contract (2020-21 to 2021-22) with forward Arsen Khisamutdinov.

Khisamutdinov, 22, totaled three points (1 goal, 2 assists) and 14 penalty minutes in 31 games with Nizhnekamsk in the KHL. He added 13 points (9 goals, 4 assists) in 14 contests with Samara (VHL). The Ufa, Russia native played 40 career games with Nizhnekamsk since making his KHL debut in 2018-19, registering eight points (3 goals, 5 assists) and 14 penalty minutes. Two of his goals were scored on the power play.

At the Junior level, the 6'03'' and 185 lbs forward suited up for Nizhnekamsk. He took part in 178 games between 2015-16 and 2018-19. Khisamutdinov recorded 144 points (62 goals, 82 assists) and 177 penalty minutes, while maintaining a +27 differential.

Khisamutdinov was selected by the Canadiens in the sixth round, 170th overall at the 2019 NHL Draft.
