Perry joined Montreal on a one-year, one-way contract on December 28.
The 35-year-old Peterborough, ON native played 57 games with the Dallas Stars last season, registering 21 points (5 goals, 16 assists) while serving a team-leading 70 penalty minutes.
Perry also added nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in 27 playoff games to help the Stars reach the Stanley Cup Final.
For his part, Frolik joined Montreal on a one-year, one-way contract on December 23.
The 32-year-old Kladno, Czech Republic native played 57 games with the Calgary Flames and Buffalo Sabres last season, registering 14 points (6 goals, 8 assists).
