Canadiens place Michael Chaput on waivers

The Ile Bizard native has suited up for 32 games for Montreal this season

BROSSARD - The Canadiens announced on Tuesday that they've placed forward Michael Chaput on waivers.

The 26-year-old forward has suited up for 32 games for Montreal this season, collecting five assists and winning 50.8% of his faceoffs.
In 167 career games with the Columbus Blue Jackets, Vancouver Canucks, and Canadiens, Chaput has six goals for 22 points and a 51.6% success rate in the dot.
The Ile Bizard native was selected in the third round (89th overall) by the Philadelphia Flyers in 2010.
