MONTREAL - The Canadiens announced on Tuesday that they had recalled forward Michael Chaput from the AHL's Laval Rocket.
Chaput will join the team on Tuesday night in New Jersey. In 18 games with the Rocket this season, the forward has notched 10 points (7G, 3A). The 26-year-old has played 135 career NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets and Vancouver Canucks, collecting six goals and 11 assists for 17 career points. The Canadiens signed Chaput to a two-year, two-way contract on July 1.
