MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today that the club submitted qualifying offers to five players.

The offers were made to forwards Max Domi and Charles Hudon, as well as defensemen Noah Juulsen, Victor Mete and Xavier Ouellet.
In 71 games with the Canadiens during the 2019-20 campaign, Domi registered 17 goals and 44 points and served 35 penalty minutes.
For his part, Hudon amassed two points (1G, 1A) in 15 games with Montreal this season. He also played 46 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket, tying for fifth in the league in goals with 27.
Juulsen, meanwhile, collected three assists and posted a +6 differential in 13 games with Laval this past season. The blueliner has amassed 8 points (2G, 6A) in 44 career appearances with the Canadiens.
Mete recorded 11 points in 51 games with the Canadiens last season (4G, 11A). He suited up for all 10 playoff contests played by Montreal in the Toronto Hub-city, amassing two helpers.
Ouellet suited up for 12 games with Montreal in 2019-20, collecting two assists in addition to serving four penalty minutes. He skated in all 10 postseason contests with the Canadiens this year, registering one assist, serving 14 penalty minutes and posting a +2 differential.
Three restricted free agents were not tendered offers: Forwards Aaron Luchuk, Andrew Sturtz and Antoine Waked.
