Canadiens to hold their development camp from July 1 to 4

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Friday that the team will hold its development camp from July 1 to 4 at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard.

A total of 37 players will participate in the development camp, including 19 forwards, 13 defensemen and five goaltenders.

Six players selected by the Canadiens at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft held on June 28-29 in Nashville will be among the participants, including the Canadiens' first-round selection, David Reinbacher.

The list of invitees includes 27 prospects drafted by the Canadiens organization, two players acquired via a transaction, one through free agency and seven invited on a try-out basis.

The first on-ice practice session will be on Sunday, July 2 at 9:15 a.m. All practices and scrimmages are open to the public.

The Canadiens' hockey development staff led by Adam Nicholas, Scott Pellerin, Francis Bouillon and Marie-Philip Poulin will run the on-ice sessions along with the Laval Rocket coaching staff headed by Jean-François Houle, Kelly Buchberger, Martin Laperrière and Marco Marciano. The Canadiens have invited the following coaches to participate in their development camp to assist the coaching staff with the on-ice sessions: Max Bohlin (Rogle BK - Sweden), Andrew Antsanen (First Nations), Philippe Roy (Shawinigan Cataractes - QMJHL), Geoff Grimwood and Rylan Ferster (Victoria Grizzlies - BCHL) as well as Evan Dickson and Kirk MacDonald (Dubuque Fighting Saints - USHL).

Players participating in the on-ice practices will be available to the media on the soccer field following the sessions.
