BROSSARD -- The Canadiens placed forward Cedric Paquette on waivers on Saturday.

Paquette, 28, has registered two assists in 24 games this year.
The Gaspe, QC native last played on January 29 against the Oilers.
A fourth-round selection of Tampa Bay in 2012, Paquette previously played for the Lightning, Senators and Hurricanes before signing a one-year contract with the Canadiens last July.
Paquette has 95 points (51 goals, 44 assists) in 448 career NHL games.
He won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2020.
