Caufield was selected first star of the game twice (on February 17 against St. Louis and February 21 against Toronto). He finished ahead of teammates Josh Anderson and Sam Montembeault, who won the award in January.
In nine games in February, the 21-year-old winger led the team with six goals, four assists (tied with Ryan Poehling and Nick Suzuki), 10 points and a plus-5 differential (tied with Ben Chiarot). Caufield had a four-game point streak (February 17 to 23) during which he amassed four goals and four assists.
A ceremony honoring Caufield will take place ahead of the March 17 game against the Dallas Stars at the Bell Centre.
