MONTREAL -- Following Saturday's game against the Oilers, the Canadiens announced that David Savard will miss eight weeks due to a right ankle injury.Savard was not in uniform for the 7-2 loss, having been ruled out for the contest just prior to warmups.The injury was suffered on Jan. 12 in Boston while blocking a shot.The 31-year-old has played 42 games with the Canadiens this season, most recently on Thursday opposite the Ducks.
