MONTREAL - After Sean Farrell with Team USA, another Canadiens prospect has earned a spot on their country's Olympic team.
Frederik Dichow, a fifth-round pick in 2019, is one of 25 players and three goaltenders who has been called upon to wear his country's colors at the 2022 Olympics.
The 20-year-old netminder boasts impressive numbers this season with the Kristianstads IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden's second-highest professional league, with 12 wins, a 2.23 goals-against average, a .927 save percentage and three shutouts in 19 games. Dichow will have the chance to play in the Danish men's team's first-ever Olympic tournament. The tournament begins on February 9 in Beijing.
