MONTREAL - Luke Tuch, Sean Farrell, Lane Hutson, Justin Barron and Frederik Dichow were in action on the third day of the 2023 IIHF World Championship.

Here's a recap of their respective performances:

USA 7 - 1 HUNGARY

Tuch made his debut at the annual international event. After seeing his brother tie the game near the start of the contest, the Canadiens' 21-year-old prospect netted his first of the tournament with three minutes left in the game.

The former second round pick played 8:51 and finished the game with a plus-1 differential.

Farrell registered two shots on goal in 10:30 of action.

On the back end, their countryman Hutson was plus-4 on the afternoon, the best among all American and Hungarian skaters. The Michigan native skated 17:36 and collected an assist on the Americans' fourth goal, scored by Cutter Gauthier.

SLOVENIA 2 - 5 CANADA

Goalie Sam Montembeault had the day off after shutting out the Latvians on Friday.

Barron, on the other hand, was in uniform for Canada. The 21-year-old defenseman fired four shots on goal in 9:19 of ice time.

FRANCE 3 - 4 DENMARK (OT)

Less than 24 hours after knocking off Hungary, Dichow was back in net for the Danes.

The Habs' prospect was tested in the second period when he allowed three goals on 12 shots from the French side.

In the end, Denmark got the better of France in overtime, scoring on the power play for the third time in as many games.

Dichow turned aside 23 shots in his second outing of the tournament.
