Since joining the Canadiens in 2020, Joel Edmundson has become the squad's de facto disc jockey, controlling what plays in the team dressing room with the same deft as a puck on the blue line.
And it's no small task either - representing the musical equivalent of a pregame pep talk.
"Joel's playlist gets us going for a game. He pulls some new songs every once in a while, just to spice things up," described teammate Johnathan Kovacevic. "DJing is a hard job. It's tough to please 25 guys."
Doing so requires having an eclectic ear, which Edmundson's collection of concert ticket stubs can attest to.
After all, the Canadiens' alternate captain has been a mainstay at shows around the city in his time as a Hab, from partying on stage with Loud Luxury at îLESONIQ in 2021 to hanging out backstage with Luke Combs at the Bell Centre earlier this season.
