Juulsen, the Canadiens' 26th overall pick from the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, was one of the final players to be cut from Team Canada a year ago. As captain of the WHL's Everett Silvertips, the 19-year-old is his junior club's third-best scorer this season, racking up 18 points (7G-11A) through 21 games with a plus-11 differential.
Mete meanwhile was selected in the fourth round of the most recent draft, 100th overall. This season, the 18-year-old has already registered 22 points - including eight goals - in 24 games with the London Knights.
McNiven for his part has posted a 13-5-1 record with a 2.29 goals against average and 0.920 save percentage through 19 games with the Owen Sound Attack in 2016-17. His 13 wins are second-best among OHL netminders. The Winnipeg, MB native signed a three-year deal with the Habs as a free agent in September 2015.
Selection camp will run from December 10 to 14 at the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau in Blainville. The 2017 World Junior Hockey Championship will be held in Montreal and Toronto beginning December 26 until January 5.
