MONTREAL – Joshua Roy will make his NHL debut when the Canadiens take on the Oilers on Saturday at the Bell Centre.

The team announced on Friday that the 20-year-old forward was recalled from the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League. Roy has posted 12-18-30 totals in 34 games with the team’s AHL affiliate this season.

Head coach Martin St-Louis also confirmed during his pregame press conference that Samuel Montembeault will make a second consecutive start in net. Justin Barron will make way for Johnathan Kovacevic on the blue line.

Forward Josh Anderson will not play tonight (lower-body injury) and will be evaluated on a daily basis.

Jake Allen was on the ice with goalie coach Eric Raymond ahead of the main on-ice session, and was joined by forward Tanner Pearson who continues to rehab an upper-body injury.
