QUOTES OF THE DAY

“There’s been a big build-up in the preseason; I think a lot of guys have been waiting for this day. Back in front of that regular season energy, that Bell Centre energy, it’s going to be a lot of fun.” –Alex Newhook on the excitement surrounding the first game of the season

“Those two games were really special for me; I got the nerves away for the first NHL game, so I don’t have to worry about that. But a season opener is a different beast. I’m just really excited, and I know a lot of guys in here are really excited, too.” –Lane Hutson on having a couple of NHL games under his belt ahead of the home opener

“It’s always the group against everyone. Anytime. Whether it’s the opponent, the media, we have to block it all out. We have to focus on what we’re doing.” –Martin St-Louis on fostering a team-first mentality

Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. If you’re coming to the game, be sure to be in your seats by 6:30 p.m. to not miss any of the pregame ceremony. For tickets, click here.
