BROSSARD – Patrik Laine inched closer to his much-anticipated Canadiens debut, practicing in a standard jersey at the CN Sports Complex on Monday.

He was one of 23 players on the ice for the session.

Head coach Martin St-Louis shook up his forward lines to start the week:

Laine, Lucas Condotta and Michael Pezzetta were the extras up front. Defenseman Mike Matheson was absent Monday, taking a therapy day instead.

The team announced prior to practice the recall of Joshua Roy from the Laval Rocket. The 21-year-old forward has totaled 16 points in 17 AHL games this season.

The Canadiens close out a four-game homestand against the Utah Hockey Club on Country Night presented by Coca-Cola at the Bell Centre on Tuesday. For tickets, click here.
