MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced that goaltender Carey Price underwent knee surgery on Friday and his recovery period is expected to be 10 to 12 weeks.
The operation was performed in New York at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) by Dr. Robert Marx, after consultation with his colleague Dr. Bryan Kelly, regarding hip and knee injuries. The hip injury will not require surgery. Price is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season on October 13 in Toronto.
