Medical Update: Guy Lafleur

The 68-year-old underwent surgery on November 28 to remove a lobe on one of his lungs and lymph nodes

MONTREAL - At the request of Guy Lafleur's family, the Montreal Canadiens released an update on his health status today.

"Guy Lafleur underwent surgery at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) on November 28. This procedure was performed in order to remove a lobe on one of his lungs, as well as to remove lymph nodes.
The operation was successful. Guy Lafleur will remain under observation at the hospital, and is expected to return home in the coming days to continue his recovery.
The family wishes to thank the entire medical team, as well as the personnel at the CHUM, and will not issue any further comment."
