BUFFALO – Tanner Pearson’s insurance marker in the dying minutes cued the “Ole!” chants in Buffalo, as the Canadiens celebrated a 3-1 win over the Sabres at KeyBank Center on Monday.

Jake Allen answered the bell on multiple occasions against the Blue and Gold, steering aside 36 shots en route to the Habs’ first road win of the season. The Canadiens' netminder has now stopped 67 of the last 70 shots he's faced dating back to Saturday's game against the Capitals.

At the other end of the rink, Justin Barron broke the deadlock early in Monday's contest, before Brendan Gallagher and Pearson sealed the win for the visitors.
