MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Monday that the team has acquired a fourth-round pick in 2021 from the Vegas Golden Knights, in return for Nick Cousins.
Signed as a free agent on July 5, 2019, Cousins has recorded 22 points (9 goals, 13 assists) and 33 penalty minutes in 63 games with the Canadiens this season. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound forward played his 300th NHL game on January 13, 2020 against Calgary. Since his debut in 2014-15, Cousins has registered 95 points (40 goals, 55 assists) in 317 regular-season contests with Philadelphia, Arizona and Montreal.
