Nick Suzuki shares special moment with his former teachers

MONTREAL -- Nick Suzuki had some special fans in town when the Habs paid a visit to the Ottawa Senators last week.

The Habs captain's kindergarten and elementary school teachers attended the team's first regular season matchup against their Atlantic Division rivals.
Jane Hadden was Suzuki's kindergarten teacher while her husband, David, was Suzuki's teacher from grades one through seven at the London Waldorf School.

Following the game, the centerman linked up with the retired couple and took some pictures to immortalize the moment.

It's not surprising that Suzuki has kept strong relationships with people who saw the 23-year-old grow from preschooler to teenager. "Zukes" has made a habit of laying down roots in his hockey homes. This past summer, he chose to stick around Montreal to immerse himself in the culture.

…Suzuki is settling in nicely in the city he'll call home for years to come.
He will surely continue to build connections with people along the way, just as he's done throughout his life so far.
After all, it takes a village, like his father Rob said, and his son is clearly grateful for everyone who's played a role in getting him to where he is today.
