Perreault, 33, collected 19 points in 56 games last season with the Winnipeg Jets (9 goals, 10 assists). He added two points, including one goal, in eight postseason contests. In 13 NHL seasons, Perreault has registered 343 points (139 goals, 204 assists) in 683 regular season games, while also serving 318 penalty minutes. He boasts five goals and 11 assists in 51 career playoff appearances. The 5'10'', 187 lbs left-winger has amassed 30 points or more in seven NHL seasons, suiting up for the Washington Capitals, Anaheim Ducks and the Jets.
A native of Drummondville, QC, Perreault played 217 total games with the Hershey Bears, the Capitals' AHL affiliate, before establishing himself permanently in the NHL. He was a key contributor when the Bears hoisted the Calder Cup twice between 2008 and 2010. Perreault also enjoyed a Junior career to remember over three seasons with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan (2005-06 to 2007-08). During his stint in the QMJHL, he had back-to-back seasons with more than 100 points (119 and 114). He was awarded the prestigious Michel-Brière Trophy, presented to the League's Most Valuable Player, at the end of the 2006-07 season. He also led the QMJHL in points the following year, earning the Jean-Béliveau Trophy.
Perreault was selected in the sixth round (177th overall) by Washington at the 2006 NHL Draft.
