MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Friday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, one-way contract (2019-20 - $1 million) with free agent forward Nick Cousins.

The 5'11'', 185 lbs forward recorded a career-high 27 points (7 goals, 20 assists), with one goal on the power play and two game-winning goals in 81 games with the Arizona Coyotes in 2018-19.
Cousins has registered 73 points (31 goals, 42 assists) and 35 penalty minutes in 259 career regular-season games in the NHL, with Philadelphia and Arizona. He has also played six career playoff games.
The Belleville, ON native was selected in the third round by the Flyers (68th overall) in the 2011 NHL Draft. Cousins registered 291 points (102-189-291) in 264 OHL games, all with Sault Ste. Marie, from 2009 to 2013.
