MONTREAL - Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced on Monday that the team has agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract (2021-22) with Quebec-born forward Laurent Dauphin.

The agreement, which carries a $750,000 value at the NHL level, guarantees $215,000 to Dauphin. He is set to make $175,000 at the AHL level.
The 26-year-old Repentigny native spent the last season with the Laval Rocket, amassing five goals and 11 assists, in addition to serving eight penalty minutes in 21 games. Dauphin has also spent time with the Canadiens' taxi squad this season.
The 6-foot-1, 189-lb forward will be playing in his eighth professional season, having recorded 164 points (67 goals, 97 assists) in 298 career AHL games with the Portland Pirates, Springfield Falcons, Tucson Roadrunners, Rockford Ice Hogs, Milwaukee Admirals and the Rocket between 2014 and 2021.
A second-round pick (39th overall) of the Phoenix Coyotes in 2013, Dauphin scored three goals and added one assist in 35 career NHL games with the Coyotes between 2015 and 2019.
