8 - A video review confirmed that Phillip Danault scored his 10th goal of the season in the third period, a goal which rang the score up to 4-1. Danault becomes the eighth Canadiens player to reach the 10-goal mark this season after Gallagher, Max Domi, Tomas Tatar, Jonathan Drouin, Andrew Shaw, Jeff Petry, and Paul Byron.
3 - Drouin earned assists on three goals against the Ducks. It was the second time this season the 23-year-old had a three-point night, after getting a goal and two assists on December 4 in a 5-2 win over the Ottawa Senators. Drouin now has seven points in his last five games.
17 - With the win, Claude Julien moved into a tie with Jacques Martin for 17th-most wins as a head coach in the NHL. Julien, who won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2010-11, has a 613-397-10-137 record in 1,157 games behind the bench over 17 seasons with the Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, and Bruins.
