SUNRISE -- The Canadiens were dealt a 7-4 loss by the Panthers on Tuesday night at FLA Live Arena.

Interim head coach Martin St-Louis gave Jake Allen the start. That was the only lineup change.

Prospect Jordan Harris, who joined the team in the Sunshine State after signing a two-year, entry-level contract over the weekend, hit the ice for warmups.
It must've been a thrilling experience for the 21-year-old defenseman.

The Canadiens struck first courtesy of Chris Wideman's third goal of the season.
The veteran blueliner beat goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky just 2:32 into the opening frame with a wrist shot from the slot.
Jesse Ylonen and Laurent Dauphin assisted on the snipe.
