The Flyers, meanwhile, are riding a three-game winning streak after posting a 6-1 victory over the Devils on Tuesday night at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
Right-winger Cam Atkinson led the way offensively with a hat trick for interim head coach Mike Yeo's squad.
Goaltender Carter Hart made 26 saves to register his seventh win of the year.
While things are trending in the right direction for the Flyers right now, that certainly hasn't been the case all year.
Yeo replaced veteran bench boss Alain Vigneault on December 6 when the club was in the midst of an eight-game losing streak.
The Flyers would drop their first couple of contests under Yeo, before righting the ship with triumphs over Vegas, Arizona and New Jersey.
Captain Claude Giroux boasts a team-leading 24 points (10 goals, 14 assists), while Atkinson ranks second in scoring with 19 points (12 goals, 7 assists).
Sean Couturier rounds out the top three in that department with 16 points (6 goals, 10 assists).
This is the first of three meetings between Montreal and Philadelphia this season.
They'll clash at Wells Fargo Center on March 13, before squaring off at the Bell Centre again on April 21.
