From bringing home silver with Team Canada at the World Championship in Finland, to traveling south to Italy with his girlfriend for some well-deserved time off, and meeting legendary F1 driver Fernando Alonso, the Canadiens forward certainly knows how to take advantage of the offseason.

Anderson, Caufield, and Suzuki meet F1 driver Alonso

The beloved Hab affectionately known as "Powerhorse" took some time out of his busy schedule to chat with fans during a Twitch Q&A earlier this summer. Below are some highlights.
Questions and answers have been edited for clarity and conciseness.
Anderson on the World Championship:
I got the opportunity to go over to the World Championship in Finland and compete over there, meet other players on different teams around the League and represent my country. Getting the opportunity to win a medal was something new for me. […] I had the opportunity to play at the World Juniors, but I didn't end up coming home with anything. So it was great to play over there and ultimately go to the final and come away with a medal. It was a good game until the end, and I thought we competed hard.
Anderson on his speed and power:
I think I was developed that way back in Junior, being coached by two guys who are well known in the Hunter brothers, [Dale and Mark]. I was always that guy who was pretty skilled, a goal scorer, a playmaker and whatnot. They just developed me in the right way, and they said, 'If you're not scoring goals, you need to be flying down the wing, trying to run over people and being physical. That's what's going to get you to the next level. You need to have other abilities to be involved in [the game] and try to help your team win.' So, I think that made me into the player I am today, and I just carried that throughout my career, and I know that speed is probably my biggest asset.
Anderson on which Hab loses the most money playing cards:
I really want to say Gally [Brendan Gallagher], but he's actually a good player. I'd probably say the worst cards player at our table was [Mathieu] Perreault. I think he lost the most money.

Anderson on playing golf during the NHL Draft in 2012:
It was a special day. I mean, I'll never forget it. You work your entire life for that opportunity and it's really a dream come true. […] When I got drafted to the NHL, I think it was a long time ago. It was back in 2012 in Pittsburgh. But I didn't end up going to the Draft just because there's so much uncertainty; if you're not projected in the first round, […] there are a lot of kids who can go. I decided to stay back home with my family, and we actually went golfing on the day of the Draft, just to get away from it and not think about it.
Long story short, I played unbelievably on the front nine, and then on the back nine, that's when the second round started kicking in, and then the third round, and I just started blowing up my game. So, I ended up getting a call from agents - I think it was on the 14th hole - and they said I just got drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets. It was such an amazing day to share with my dad, my brothers, my uncle, my billet dad who supported me and who I lived with in London throughout my Junior career. I got to experience it with so many amazing people. It was just incredible.
Anderson on poutine:
I love it. I've told this story a hundred times, but when I was 16 years old, I came to Montreal and had seen a playoff game. My dad took me to all these spots he went to when he came into town. The first place he took me to was for poutine and I loved it.
