Sean Burke

MONTREAL - Hockey Canada announced on Tuesday that Sean Burke will serve as general manager of Team Canada at the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang next February.

The 50-year-old former goaltender joined the Canadiens in September 2016 as a professional scout for the western region. Burke will maintain his functions with the Canadiens over the coming months. Last year, he was named general manager of Team Canada for both the Deutschland Cup and the Spengler Cup.
Hockey Canada also named Willie Desjardins head coach of the squad that will try to win a third consecutive gold medal.
The Olympic tournament will take place from February 13-25, 2018 in South Korea.
