The Together to Play equipment drive will take place from May 8 to June 30, 2023. The public will be called on to donate new or lightly used skates, hockey sticks, and hockey jerseys for girls and boys to the

boutiques at the Bell Centre, the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, and Place Bell in Laval. In exchange for an equipment donation, a Tricolore Sports discount will be given to each donor.
This coming fall, a celebration will be held at the Bell Centre in order to hand out the equipment to young girls and boys who have been selected with the organization's community partners. The activity will give young recipients the chance to choose their skates and try them on at a skating session on the Bell Centre ice in the company of Canadiens Alumni and Youppi!. Hockey equipment company Warrior will also take the opportunity to give out a new hockey helmet to each child in attendance.
"Activities like skating and hockey are not always accessible to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. This initiative, focused on refurbishing equipment that is no longer in use and presented in collaboration with National Bank, is working to remove obstacles to an active lifestyle and fits well with our common goal of making a major contribution to community well-being, all while ensuring that our actions incorporate the principles of sustainable development," explained Genevieve Paquette, Vice President, Community Engagement for the Montreal Canadiens.
"Together To Play is the result of a collaboration between National Bank and the Montreal Canadiens to break down barriers and make hockey more inclusive and accessible to all youth. Team sports have a positive impact on the physical and social development of young girls and boys. We encourage members of the community to take part in this initiative by contributing to the equipment drive," stated Debby Cordeiro, Senior Vice-President, Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility for National Bank.
